About NVS Teacher (PGT/TGT)

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti recruits Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and CBSE conducts the examination on its behalf together with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan drive. Under Recruitment Notification 01/2025, dated 13 November 2025, selection runs through a qualifying Tier-1 OMR test, a Tier-2 subject knowledge test and an interview. The merit list gives 85% weight to Tier-2 and 15% to the interview.

Eligibility (summary)

Recruitment Notification 01/2025: PGT needs a master's degree with at least 50% marks in the subject plus B.Ed. (or an equivalent integrated course), upper age 40 years; TGT upper age 35 years with a bachelor's degree and B.Ed. as specified per subject.
