Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan fills Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Primary Teacher (PRT) posts by direct recruitment, and CBSE conducts the examination on its behalf. Under Recruitment Notification 01/2025, dated 13 November 2025, selection runs through a qualifying Tier-1 OMR test, a Tier-2 subject knowledge test and an interview. The final merit list gives 85% weight to Tier-2 and 15% to the interview. Tier-1 was held on 10 and 11 January 2026.

Eligibility (summary)

Recruitment Notification 01/2025: PGT needs a master's degree with at least 50% marks in the subject plus B.Ed., upper age 40 years; TGT needs a bachelor's degree with B.Ed. and CTET Paper-II, upper age 35 years; PRT needs 10+2 with 50% and D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed. and CTET Paper-I, upper age 30 years.
