About UPSSSC AGTA
UPSSSC recruits Technical Assistants Group-C (Agriculture Technical Assistant, AGTA) for the Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Agriculture through a post-wise main examination open only to candidates with a valid Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score. Advt. No. 06-Exam/2026, the Technical Assistant Group-C Main Examination (PET-2025)/07 dated 24-03-2026, offered 2759 posts at pay level 4 (Rs 25500-81100); 63693 candidates were shortlisted on PET-2025 scores and the written main exam was held on 09-08-2026.
Eligibility (summary)
Advt. No. 06-Exam/2026: a valid PET-2025 score, and a four-year graduate degree in agriculture or equivalent from a recognised institution, e.g. B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), or B.Sc. (Home Science)/Community Science from an agriculture and technology university. Age 21 to 40 years on 1 July of the year of advertisement, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories; Territorial Army service of two years or an NCC 'B' certificate gets preference.
