About NEST

The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is the compulsory computer-based test for admission to the five-year Integrated MSc programme of NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai, both set up by the Department of Atomic Energy. The paper has four subject sections, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, and a merit list is drawn from the best three section scores; each institute then admits from it. NEST 2026 was held on 6 June 2026.
