About IIT JAM

JAM is the computer-based test used for admission to postgraduate science programmes such as M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), MS (Research), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. at the IITs, and, through CCMN counselling, at IISc, NITs and other institutes. The IITs organise it in turn; IIT Kharagpur is organising JAM 2027 on 14 February 2027 in seven test papers. Admission follows the All India Rank in each test paper with no further written test or interview.

Eligibility (summary)

JAM 2027 is open to Indian and foreign nationals with no age limit; candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or will appear in its final examination in 2027 may take the test, and admission depends on each programme's minimum educational qualifications.
