About Navy Agniveer SSR/MR

The Indian Navy enrols sailors under the Agnipath scheme as Agniveer (SSR), for candidates with 10+2 in Mathematics and Physics, and Agniveer (MR), for candidates who have passed matriculation. For batches 01/2027 and 02/2027, selection begins with the computer-based Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET 2026, held in May 2026), followed by a Stage II physical fitness test, written exam and recruitment medical examination, with a state-wise merit list.

Eligibility (summary)

01/2027 batch: born between 01 Dec 2004 and 31 May 2009; Agniveer (SSR) needs 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics with 50% aggregate (or an equivalent diploma or vocational course), Agniveer (MR) needs matriculation with 50% aggregate.
