About Army Agniveer CEE

The Indian Army enrols Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme through an Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) followed by a recruitment rally run by Army Recruiting Offices. Agniveer categories are General Duty, Technical, Clerk/Store Keeper Technical and Tradesmen (10th and 8th pass), with a separate General Duty entry for Women Military Police. For recruiting year 2026-27, registration on joinindianarmy.nic.in opened on 13 February 2026 and the CEE was held category-wise between 1 and 12 June 2026.

Eligibility (summary)

Recruiting Year 2027: born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (17½ to 22 years). General Duty needs Class 10 with 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject; Technical needs 10+2 Science with Physics, Maths and English (50% aggregate) or listed ITI/diploma routes; Clerk/Store Keeper Technical needs 10+2 with 60% aggregate, 50% in each subject and 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping; Tradesmen need a simple Class 10 or Class 8 pass. Phase I: Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE)Objective multiple-choice computer-based test in 13 languages. As per the category applied for, candidates answer 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two hours (the notification does not say which category gets which). Marking as stated: full marks for every correct answer, nil for an unattempted question; marks are normalised across sessions. Phase II: Recruitment Rally (PFT and Physical Measurement)Physical Fitness Test: 1.6 km run graded Group I up to 5 min 30 sec (60 marks), Group II up to 5 min 45 sec (48), Group III up to 6 min (36), Group IV up to 6 min 15 sec (24); pull-ups 10, 9, 8, 7 or 6 earn 40, 33, 27, 21 or 16 marks; 9 ft ditch and zig-zag balance must be qualified.
