About SBI Apprentice
State Bank of India engages graduates as apprentices for one year of training under the Apprentices Act, 1961; it is a training engagement on a monthly stipend, not employment in the bank. Candidates apply for one state and are selected through an online objective test, a test of the state's specified local language and a medical examination. The 2026 advertisement (CRPD/APPR/2026-27/07) offered 7,150 provisional training seats with a stipend of Rs 15,000 a month.
Eligibility (summary)
2026 advertisement (CRPD/APPR/2026-27/07): age 20 to 28 years as on 01.04.2026 with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD, and graduation from a recognised university or institute; candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after qualifying are not eligible.
