About IBPS PO

IBPS runs this annual common recruitment process to fill entry-level officer posts (Probationary Officer/Management Trainee) in the participating public sector banks. Graduates aged roughly 20 to 30 sit an online preliminary and main exam, and those who clear the main exam go through a personality test and a common interview before banks are allotted on merit.

Eligibility (summary)

Graduate in any discipline; age 20 to 30 years as on 01.07.2026, with category-wise upper age relaxation (e.g. SC/ST 5 years, OBC-NCL 3 years). Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.
