About SBI PO

SBI recruits its own Probationary Officers through a separate annual exam, independent of IBPS. Graduates aged 21 to 30 go through an online preliminary exam, an online main exam with a typed descriptive paper, and a final phase of psychometric test, group exercise and interview.

Eligibility (summary)

Graduate in any discipline (final-year students may apply provisionally); age 21 to 30 years as on 01.04.2026, with category relaxations. Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.

    Online objective test, 100 marks, 1 hour; no sectional cut-off

  2. 2

    Phase-II: Main Examination

    Online objective tests (200 marks) followed by a typed descriptive test (30 marks)

    Phase-III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview

    Psychometric profiling plus group exercise (20 marks) and interview (30 marks)
