About RBI Assistant

The Reserve Bank of India recruits Assistants for its offices through a country-wide competitive examination, with each candidate applying for the vacancies of one office. Selection runs through an online Preliminary Examination, an online Main Examination and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) in the official or local language of the State concerned. The Panel Year 2025 advertisement of 16 February 2026 offered 650 posts, and its preliminary examination was scheduled for 11 and 13 April 2026.

Eligibility (summary)

Panel Year 2025: age between 20 and 28 years as on 01.02.2026, with category relaxations; at least a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) and knowledge of word processing on PC.
