About LIC ADO
LIC recruits Apprentice Development Officers (ADO) through employment notices issued by its zonal offices for the divisional offices under them. Applicants are grouped into open market, LIC agent and LIC employee categories: open-market candidates take an online preliminary and main examination, agents and employees take only the main examination, and an interview and a pre-recruitment medical examination follow. The most recent round on LIC's site is 2022-23, with the preliminary exam on 12 March 2023 and the main exam on 23 April 2023.
Eligibility (summary)
ADO recruitment 2022-23: age 21 to 30 years as on 01.01.2023, with higher upper limits for OBC, SC/ST, LIC agents and LIC employees; a Bachelor's degree from a recognised Indian University or the Fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
