About APSC CCE

The Combined Competitive Examination is held by the Assam Public Service Commission to recruit to the Assam Civil Service (Jr. Grade), Assam Police Service (Jr. Grade) and allied state services and posts. Selection runs through an objective Preliminary Examination of two General Studies papers, a written Main Examination of six papers and an interview. The Preliminary Examination of CCE 2025 was advertised as Advt. No. 01/2026 dated 10 April 2026 for 78 vacancies and was held on 5 July 2026.

Eligibility (summary)

For CCE 2025 (Advt. No. 01/2026): age not less than 21 and not more than 38 years on 01.01.2025, with the upper limit relaxed by 5 years for SC/STP/STH, 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 10 years for PwBD. Candidates need a degree from a recognised university, must be original inhabitants of Assam and be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
