About SSC JE

SSC JE recruits diploma and degree holders in engineering as Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) in central organisations such as CPWD, MES, BRO and CWC; the 2026 cycle also covers JE (Telecom) and Scientific Assistant posts in IMD. Selection is through two computer-based papers testing general ability and the candidate's engineering discipline.

Eligibility (summary)

Degree or diploma in the relevant engineering discipline as specified per post and department; upper age limit up to 30 or 32 years depending on post, as on 01-08-2026, with category relaxations. Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.
