National Standard Examinations (NSEP, NSEC, NSEB, NSEA, NSEJS)
The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) conducts the National Standard Examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy (Class XII level) and in Junior Science (Class X level) every November; they are Stage I of the National Olympiad Programme, and qualifiers go on to HBCSE's Indian National Olympiads (INPhO, INChO, INBO, INAO) or to INJSO. For 2026 the HBCSE brochure lists NSEA on 21 November and NSEB, NSEC and NSEP on 22 November 2026, with enrolment through IAPT at Rs. 300 per student per subject.
