About CUSAT CAT
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) holds the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to its B.Tech., integrated M.Sc., B.Voc., five-year and three-year LL.B., LL.M., MCA, M.Sc., MA and M.Voc. programmes. All CAT papers are multiple-choice computer-based tests; most award 4 marks for a right answer and deduct 1 mark for a wrong one, and a candidate who answers no question is disqualified. The B.Tech. test (code 101) has 225 questions on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in three hours.
Eligibility (summary)
Per the CAT 2026 prospectus, B.Tech. needs a pass in Plus Two with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with at least 50% in Mathematics and 50% in the three subjects together (relaxations for reserved categories). Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.
