About CLAT PG

CLAT PG is the postgraduate test of the Common Law Admission Test, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities for admission to the one-year LL.M. programmes of the participating National Law Universities. It is a single offline paper of 120 multiple-choice questions set on extracts from court decisions, statutes and other legal materials across the core law subjects, written on the same day as CLAT UG, and admission then runs through the Consortium's counselling rounds. CLAT 2026 PG was held on 7 December 2025.

Eligibility (summary)

CLAT 2027 (PG): no upper age limit; an LL.B. degree or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates), and candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in 2027 may also apply. Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.
