About BITSAT

BITSAT is the computer-based online test BITS Pilani uses for admission to its integrated first degree programmes (B.E., B.Pharm. and M.Sc.) at the Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses. Candidates may take it in Session 1, Session 2 or both, and the higher of two scores counts; the BITSAT-2026 brochure scheduled the sessions for 15-16 April and 25-27 May 2026 (tentative). Each candidate gets a question set drawn at random from a question bank.

Eligibility (summary)

BITSAT-2026: Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board, appearing in 2026 or passed in 2025, with at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Biology/Mathematics for B.Pharm., B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engg. and M.Sc. Biological Sciences) and at least 60% in each of those subjects. Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.

BITSAT computer-based test130 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours without a break: Physics 30, Chemistry 30, English Proficiency 10 and Logical Reasoning 20, and Mathematics 40 (or Biology 40 for B.Pharm., B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engg. and M.Sc. Biological Sciences); +3 for a correct answer, -1 for a wrong answer, 0 for an unattempted question; no sectional time limits; a candidate who answers all 130 may attempt up to 12 extra questions (three each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and Logical Reasoning) but can then no longer change earlier answers; questions and instructions in English onlyBITSAT-2026 Brochure · source
