About AILET

AILET is National Law University Delhi's own entrance test for its five-year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and one-year LL.M. programmes; apart from the foreign national quota, selection rests solely on AILET. Each programme has a separate offline multiple-choice paper, and admission follows the AILET merit through the University's counselling and provisional merit lists. AILET 2026 was held on 14 December 2025 and AILET 2027 is notified for 13 December 2026. Ph.D. admission, part of AILET until the 2025 cycle, now runs through the separate AIET.

Eligibility (summary)

AILET 2027: for B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), 10+2 or equivalent with 45% marks (42% for OBC, 40% for SC/ST); for LL.M., an LL.B. or equivalent law degree with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD). Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in 2027 may apply. Read the latest notification for exact age limits, relaxations and qualifications.
