About BSSC Inter Level
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission holds the Inter Level Combined Competitive Examination to fill posts in Bihar government departments and offices that require an Intermediate (Class 12) qualification, such as lower division clerk. The second edition was re-advertised as Advt. No. 02/23(A) in 2025, with online registration from 15-10-2025, and a corrigendum of 29-01-2026 put the total at 25,311 vacancies. Selection runs through an objective preliminary examination, which shortlists five times the category-wise vacancies for a main examination advertised separately.
Eligibility (summary)
Under Advt. No. 02/23(A), candidates need an Intermediate (Class 12) or equivalent pass, plus typing or computer skills for some posts, and must be at least 18 on 01-08-2025; the upper age limit is 37 years for unreserved men, 40 for BC/EBC candidates and unreserved women, and 42 for SC/ST candidates, with 10 more years for persons with disabilities.
