About WBJEE

WBJEE is the common entrance test that the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board holds every year for admission to undergraduate engineering/technology, pharmacy and architecture courses in universities and institutes across West Bengal. It is an OMR-based pen-and-paper test of two papers on one day, Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics & Chemistry); WBJEE-2026 was held on 24 May 2026. Both papers together give a General Merit Rank for engineering and architecture, while Paper II alone gives a Pharmacy Merit Rank, and seats are then allotted through online counselling.

Eligibility (summary)

WBJEE-2026: Indian citizens (or OCI, for unreserved All-India seats only) who have passed Class 12 (10+2) or are appearing in 2026, and are at least 17 years old on 31.12.2026 (born on or before 31.12.2009); there is no upper age limit except 25 years for Marine Engineering.
