About UPSC NDA & NA
UPSC holds the NDA & NA examination twice a year to select school-leavers for the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy. Unmarried men and women in their late teens who have passed or are taking Class 12 take a written test in Mathematics and a General Ability Test. Those who qualify go on to a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
Eligibility (summary)
Unmarried male/female candidates; for NDA (I) 2026, born between 1 July 2007 and 1 July 2010; Class 12 pass (or appearing) for the Army wing, Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for Air Force, Naval wings and the INA 10+2 Cadet Entry.
