Written Examination pattern

Paper I General Aptitude Test: objective, 120 questions set bilingually in Hindi and English, 300 marks (General Studies 150, Numerical Ability & Computer Proficiency 75, Constitution of India 75), 2 hours, without negative marking. Paper II English (qualifying): descriptive, 5 questions, 200 marks (Essay 80; comprehension, précis, grammar 120), 3 hours, answered in English. Paper III Criminal Law: descriptive, 8 questions of which 5 are attempted, 300 marks (Part A 150, Part B 150), 3 hours, set and answered in Hindi or English.
