School Teacher Written (Objective) Competitive Examination (Teacher Recruitment Examination)
BPSC conducts the School Teacher recruitment examination for Bihar's Education Department in rounds popularly numbered TRE 1.0 (Advt. 26/2023), TRE 2.0 (Advt. 27/2023), TRE 3.0 (Advt. 22/2024) and TRE 4.0 (Advt. 14/2026 and 15/2026), with separate papers for classes 1-5, 6-8, 9-10 and 11-12. TRE 1.0 used separate Language and General Studies papers plus a subject paper; from TRE 2.0 the test became a single objective booklet combining a qualifying language part, a general studies part and the subject part. BPSC's exam calendar lists TRE 4.0 with 32,388 vacancies.
