Main Examination pattern
Group II: Paper I Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC standard, descriptive, 100 marks, 3 hours, qualifying with 40 marks) and Paper II General Studies (Degree standard, descriptive, 300 marks, 3 hours, minimum 90). Group IIA: the same qualifying Paper I, and Paper II objective computer-based test of 200 questions, 300 marks, 3 hours: A. General Studies 100 questions, B. General Intelligence and Reasoning 40 questions, C. General Tamil or General English 60 questions. Ranking uses Paper II marks only.
