TNPSC recruits Assistant Conservators of Forests for the Tamil Nadu Forest Service (Group I-A) through a preliminary examination, a descriptive main written examination with two optional subjects, a physical test and an interview. Older cycles (before the Group I-A scheme) used a single written examination; TNPSC has posted papers and keys from both schemes.
