About AP EdCET

APEdCET is the computer-based entrance test for admission to the two-year B.Ed. and B.Ed. Special Education programmes in Andhra Pradesh, held on behalf of APSCHE; Dravidian University, Kuppam conducted APEdCET-2026 on 8 May 2026 in two shifts. Every candidate answers common General English, General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude sections plus one chosen methodology subject, and ranks are issued separately for each methodology.

Eligibility (summary)

For APEdCET-2026, candidates need a bachelor's degree matching the chosen methodology (for example B.A./B.Sc. with Mathematics for the Mathematics methodology) with at least 50% marks (40% for reserved categories), and must be 19 years old on 1 July of the notification year; there is no upper age limit. Computer Based Test150 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes, all of equal weight: Part A General English 25 questions (25 marks); Part B General Knowledge 15 and Teaching Aptitude 10 (25 marks); Part C one methodology of 100 questions (100 marks) chosen from Mathematics, Physical Sciences (Physics 50, Chemistry 50), Biological Sciences (Botany 50, Zoology 50), Social Studies (Geography 35, History 30, Civics 15, Economics 20) or English. No negative marking. Paper in English and Telugu except the English methodology; Urdu-medium candidates get English and Urdu.
