Eligibility (summary)

For Advertisement No. 01 of 2026: 10+2 or equivalent (matriculation for ex-servicemen) and matriculation with Punjabi as a subject, both by 01-01-2026; age 18 to 28 years on 01-01-2026, with up to five years' relaxation for specified categories such as SC and BC candidates of Punjab. Computer Based Test (Paper I and Paper II)Paper I: 100 multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each, 2 hours, 100 marks: general awareness 35, quantitative aptitude and numerical skills 20, mental ability and logical reasoning 20, English language skills 10, Punjabi language skills 10, digital literacy and awareness 5. Paper II: mandatory qualifying Punjabi language test of matriculation standard, 50 questions of 1 mark, 1 hour, 50% needed and not counted for merit. No negative marking. Physical Screening Test and Physical Measurement TestQualifying. Men (and ex-servicemen under 35): 1,600 m race in 6 min 30 s (one chance), long jump 3.80 m and high jump 1.10 m (3 chances each). Women: 800 m race in 4 min 30 s, long jump 3.00 m and high jump 0.95 m. Older ex-servicemen have walk-and-run tests.
