Typing / Shorthand / Skill Test pattern
Junior Judicial Assistant/Restorer: Stage III English typing test of 10 minutes on computer at a minimum 35 words per minute, mistakes up to 3% of words typed; qualifying. Senior Personal Assistant / Personal Assistant: Stage I English typing test of 10 minutes at 40 words per minute (qualifying), then Stage II English shorthand tests: 550 words in 5 minutes at 110 w.p.m. (SPA, 120 marks) or 500 words at 100 w.p.m. (PA, 110 marks), 45 minutes to transcribe on computer; best of two tests counts.
