Four written papers: General Legal Knowledge & Language (250 marks: Section I General Legal Knowledge 100, Section II Language 150 with essay, translation English to Hindi and Hindi to English, and precis), Civil Law I (200), Civil Law II (200) and Criminal Law (200). The 2023 papers each state a duration of 3 hours. General candidates need 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate (reserved: 35% and 45%) to be called for viva-voce.
